Family Support

We in CA know the family of the addict suffers just as much as the loved one they watch fall deeper into the world of addiction. Help for those affected by family members and friends who are or have lived in the world of addiction can also find the support they need for themselves to recover.

The Co-Anon Family Groups have but one purpose-to help the family members and friends of someone who is addicted to cocaine or other mind-altering substances. We do this by practising the Twelve Steps of Cocaine Anonymous ourselves, by understanding addiction and carrying the message of hope and personal recovery whether the addict is using or not.

It is through this fellowship that we learn to cope with our difficulties by sharing our experience, strength, and hope with others.

Al-Anon offers understanding and support for families and friends of problem drinkers in an anonymous environment, whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.

The parents, children, wives, husbands, friends and colleagues of alcoholics could all be helped by Al-Anon and Alateen whether or not the drinker in their lives recognises that a problem exists.
